This is also sometimes called Matching Gifts program.
How It Works
  1. Corporate Matching Gift Programs: Many companies in the U.S. offer matching gift programs as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Employees donate to a nonprofit, and the company matches their contribution, often at a 1:1 ratio, though some may go higher, such as 2:1 or 3:1.
  2. Volunteer Hour Matching: Many companies recognize their employees’ volunteer work by donating to the nonprofit for every hour the employee volunteers. For instance, a company may pledge $25 for every hour an employee spends volunteering.

Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Disney have robust programs that match donations and volunteer hours, setting an example for other organizations.
